37th Annual Kids Trout Derby
April 25, 2009
Lions Lake in Grass Valley, CA
This event is sponsored by the GVSC and local area sponsors for children under 12. We provide free bait, a free soft drink and a free hot dog to each child who registers for the event. We stock the lake with thousands of pounds of trout prior to the event courtesy of the Department of Fish and Game. We want the kids to have a great time with their families, and they do!
On the next day following, we also sponsor a fishing derby for youth with special needs. We assist with baiting and landing. They too are provided with free food and drink.
